Taylor Wimpey has completed our Fire Door Installation Course at The Hub, Blythe Valley Park. There were 15 people in the training including Quality Managers, Site Managers and Carpenters.

Founded as a merger between Taylor Woodrow and George Wimpey in 2007, Taylor Wimpey is now one of the UK’s leading housebuilders. They’re committed to building high-quality homes that meet the needs of customers.

The aim of the training was to ensure that everyone understands the importance of fire doors and how to correctly install them. This forms a vital part of Taylor Wimpey’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that fire safety regulations are understood and that their staff are up to date with fire regulations. In particular, we focussed on the three-storey houses that Taylor Wimpey build.

The day started with a theory session covering topics such as fire safety laws, building regulations, standards and certification before moving on to looking at how a fire door should be installed and records that should be kept.

The training was delivered by UK Fire Door Training’s expert instructors, and everyone who attended found it very informative and beneficial. The delegates will now be able to put this knowledge into practice on their building sites.

It is great to see Taylor Wimpey being proactive and educating their staff on fire door safety. Taylor Wimpey joins the growing list of construction companies that UK Fire Door Training has worked with so far in 2022.
