LED BY EXPERTS

Our trainers bring decades of experience in fire doors and fire safety compliance.

MODERN PURPOSE BUILT FACILITY

Our 5,000 square-foot facility has been designed for comfort and safety. Practical training rooms are air-conditioned, on-site parking with seamless iPad check-in and check-out for a smooth experience. The centre is fully equipped with modern amenities, breakout areas for discussions, and high-quality practical training stations, ensuring an optimal learning environment for all attendees.

TRAINING ROOMS

Our centre has been developed to give learners access to a wide range of fire door systems and practical training environments.

The facility includes dedicated bays for installation, inspection and remediation, with full timber and composite door assemblies arranged to reflect real site conditions.

Learners also work within dedicated passive fire protection areas, covering fire stopping, service penetrations, linear gaps, sealing systems and associated remedial methods used across domestic and commercial buildings.

Learners handle drills, chisels, fixings and appropriate hardware, working under the supervision of qualified instructors who guide correct tool use, safe operating practices and accurate installation sequencing.

Practical tasks are designed to replicate the challenges found on real sites, including identifying non-compliant work, correcting remedial issues, and applying manufacturer requirements to actual installations rather than theoretical examples.

All instructors are first-aid trained, and the centre includes clearly identified first-aid stations to support a safe, controlled learning environment. Training is delivered through differentiated approaches so that new entrants, experienced installers and industry professionals can progress at a suitable pace while working towards recognised standards.

Practical areas are supported by breakout spaces, modern amenities, refreshments and food provided on the day.

Classroom spaces allow time for discussion, debrief, review of standards and reflection before returning to practical activities, ensuring that every hands-on task is linked back to compliance, best practice and the broader context of building safety.

SAFETY AND PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

Safety is built into every element of our practical training. All activities are supervised by qualified instructors, and learners receive a full safety briefing before using tools, equipment or carrying out any manual handling tasks. Each session begins with clear guidance on hazard awareness, safe tool operation and the correct approach to practical exercises.

Practical work takes place in controlled conditions, with appropriate PPE guidance and ongoing oversight throughout the course. Instructors monitor each stage of the work to ensure safe practice, correct sequencing and proper use of tools and fixings.

All instructors hold first aid training, and first aid stations and eye wash stations are clearly identified across the centre so that support is immediately available if needed. Learners are shown safe working routes around the facility, and emergency procedures are explained at the start of the day.

Practical tasks follow recognised industry standards and manufacturer requirements, ensuring that learners understand safe working methods, the reasoning behind compliance, and the principles that underpin effective installation, inspection and remediation.
