Our face-to-face practical training takes place at our Wolverhampton training centre. It is a 2-day course, with Day 1 being classroom-based and knowledge-focused, and Day 2 dedicated to practical training in fire door maintenance.

Course Description
This two day FireQual recognised programme develops your knowledge and practical ability as a fire door maintenance operative.
It focuses solely on compliant fire door maintenance, giving you a clear understanding of common faults, required standards and how maintenance work should be carried out in line with current guidance.
You will learn how to assess typical maintenance issues, carry out routine adjustments, and understand the correct use of components and materials during fire door remediation.
The programme includes guided practical activity, allowing you to apply what you have learned under expert instruction.
Successful completion leads to one FireQual Recognised Programme certificate in fire door maintenance.
Upon completion of the course you will be added to UK Fire Door Training Approved. This is included at no extra cost.
You will also receive an ‘Approved’ version of our logo to use on promotional materials.

Upon completion of the course
This course finishes with an assessment. Upon passing the assessment you will receive a FireQual PDF certificate. This certificate is a key component of showcasing your proficiency and demonstrates part of your proof of competence in fire door maintenance. The certificates are valid for 3 years from the date of passing the assessment.
Please note that a competent person is someone with sufficient skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours.
