Course Description
This FireQual-recognised programme develops your knowledge of passive fire protection and is suitable for anyone involved in fire safety who needs a clearer understanding of how passive fire stopping is specified and installed on site. The course focuses on essential theory covering fire safety and passive fire protection principles, current laws and building regulations, manufacturer requirements and the correct use of tested systems.
You will study how passive fire stopping works, how fire and smoke move through a building, and how compliant fire stopping is designed, specified and documented. You will also learn how to identify common products, understand standard installation details, and recognise where suitable systems should be used in different passive fire protection scenarios.
By the end of the programme, you will have a solid understanding of passive fire stopping requirements and will be able to apply this knowledge across a wide range of passive fire protection situations.

The certificate is valid for 3 years from the date of passing the assessment. Hard copy certificate can be issued upon request.
